The Christmas Story
I am really excited to let you know about my new Christmas song called, “Do You Believe?” (The Christmas Story). I wrote the lyrics and melody and then was able to work with Juliana Lane (check out her website- julianalanemusic.com). She did a wonderful job playing piano, singing and producing the song. The author grew up on the “Seeing Eye Puppy Farm” where his father raised German Shepherds to provide eyes and companionship for the visually impaired. So, his earliest memories involve dogs. Throughout the book he shares stories of the dogs that he has shared his life with. The book is wonderfully written. It is easy to read and fun to share. The stories evoke both laughter and tears. The author’s endearing portrayal of the bond between dogs and humans in these stories is exceptional. I highly recommend this book, especially to dog lovers. This is just a wonderful, feel-good read. If you’re a dog person, go ahead and get it — you won’t regret it. The stories are short, genuine, and full of heart. Some made me smile, a couple had me choked up, and all of them reminded me of how lucky we are to share life with these animals. It’s not a long read, but it’s full of warmth and will put a smile on your face over and over again. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t thank Mr. Weagley enough for writing it.
